October 2009 - Standard Room Upper Level Portland, OR
We have just returned from a weeks stay at Carambola. Our room was fantastic and it was spacious and very comfy. The layout was not brand spanking new, but everything was in good shape and in working order. The rooms also has loads of space which we appreciated. The beach is beautiful and the food was surprisingly good and were very generous to accommodate our requests. The resort is a bit ways out from both major towns but we did not find that an inconvenience, as we were looking for a remote resort and were able to take a taxi in one day but at an extortionate rate. A nice surprise as we were not expecting much with the rate we paid.

September 2009 - Superior Upper Level Washington
This resort was our first choice for several reasons. 1. The price couldn't be beat anywhere else. 2. Isolation, no crowds, beautiful beach and scenery. We had a romantic stay and enjoy every minute. I would recommend it to couples and families as well as we saw some kids having a great time.

June 2009 - Superior Room Upper Level New York
We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to come back again. We read some negative reviews and found a few quirks but you will always find things wrong anywhere if you look hard enough. Positives: A real hide-away: it's quite isolated (well for this little island anyway), the beach was great for snorkeling and relaxing in the Hammocks, food was divine, room was amazing, outdoor-screened area perfect for morning coffee and late night drinks. Negative: It is slightly isolated from other restaurants and attractions (but that is why we choose to come here), lots of bugs, but it did rain one afternoon so you would get bugs anywhere. Prices were high like any Caribbean island but I truly feel this place is worth every penny, which in fact wasn't too many pennies either.

An overall excellent resort. Good price, room, food, service and ambiance. Highly recommend.

November 2008 - Standard Room Lower Level Oakville, Ontario
On arrival we were surprised by the superior quality of the resort. We paid a very low price for the package and didn't expect as much as what we got. It exceeded our expectations by far. Our basic room was very spacious, had an outdoor seating area with a screen to keep any bugs out and we sat here for a large portion of our stay when we weren't on the beachfront. It is a very laid back and serene place where we recharged, ready for the winter ahead!

October 2008 - Superior Room Upper Level Pennsylvania
It was our 10th anniversary and we had a wonderful time. Fantastic service, food and accommodations. Highly recommend. We did a lot of walking around the resort as our suite was further away from the main area but it worked out for us well for our daily exercise - well, as much as you would want to do on holiday anyway!
