Guest Reviews of The Palms at Pelican Cove

March 2011 - Beachfront Brighton, MICH
Relaxing, no crowds, quiet, friendly, laid back, good service, complimentary snorkeling excursion with underwater pics CD, owner Chuck (patient , knowledgeable) and his main employee, hard working, affable, Mitch were most accomodating in all infomation relating to overall Island activities. Our room overlooked the water and indeed pelicans flew by almost every 5 minutes and you can watch them catch herring constantly. The waves have quite a riptide, however experienced snorklers can navigate with minimal effort. Found polished ocean glass or gemstones? suitable for jewelry right in front of the hotel underwater on a clear dive day. We were in the water 7 out of 9 days and enjoyed it immensly. Wait staff was adequate (Ilene) was very hospitable, food was tasty and filling. Rooms were good and Mamma was a friendly, christian, woman who is also a asset to the hotel. Having a car is almost a must. Cabs are expensive and you are at their mercy price wise. Me!
It was another couple from Missouri (David & Carolyn) who made our trip more enjoyable with their company. We are in our 60's and all ages were seen throughout our visit at this hotel. Beautiful Catholic churh in town. Ammendities are pricy, but enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.

If you like to get away from the crowds and enjoy great beaches then you will like The Palms. There is so much beach to enjoy and the resort is small, so you can really have your own private space. I will remember this vacation for great food, real relaxation, friendly people and a great beach.

A top recommendation for anyone, families or couples wanting some peace and quiet. My wife and I are retired and enjoy one getaway a year and had never been to St.Croix in all our travels. A very helpful lady at this website has a lot of information about each resort and island so we put our trust in her and she delivered. The Palms is very peaceful and so is the island. We rented a car and drove to a few sites throughout our 8 days stay. A very underdeveloped island, which is rare. We will explore other resorts next trip but highly recommend The Palms. The staff were pleasant, the food and service was good and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
June 2009 - Beachfront Springfield, MA
A friendly and welcoming resort. Not far from Christiansted and on a nice stretch of beach. The free scuba lesson was new for us and we certainly took advantage of it. We didn't get out of the pool in to the ocean but maybe we'll try for next time. We will certainly come back to St.Croix. The island itself is very charming and there is a lot of things to see. This trip was purely relaxation and that is exactly what we did every day at the beach. The food was average. Some days/nights is what delicious while others it was below average. Altogether though a good recommendation and location for a first trip to St.Croix.
