My daughter and I had a pleasant time at The Westin St.John. We had a short flight over with no hassles and no waits. We pre-paid our transfers and found them to be very effective. The transfers included unlimited trips back to St.Thomas which we took advantage of for some great duty free shopping! The room was nice and directly on the beachfront. The service was good some days and not on others. I would recommend this resort to people for short stays because the resort has everything you need on site but also for long stays, as the room was a good size and The Westin is clsoe to most of the islands amenities. We took a trip one day to Trunk Bay which is a gorgeous beach. A very lovely island overall.

The quality was bang on for value. We got an incredible 50% off rate through myvirginislands.com. Some parts of the property are outdated but what resort isn't. Overall it was a great place and if we could get the same deal we will be back next year!

From the reviews we read we were skeptical staying here, but we really wanted to stay on St.John at a nice property and though the rates were fantastic value. Knowing what we did through other reviews we asked for the most recently renovated room and were pleasantly surprised. It was very nice and clean, no complaints! We stepped out onto the beach. I loved it! I think this is a great resort and didn't see why people had complained so much. It's the Caribbean, relax (you know service will be slower than back home so accept it), things didn't go always as planned (a bit of a wait for the ferry from Charlotte Amalie - we know for next time, get to Red Hook), but overall my boyfriend and I loved it here and would happily come back. I have my eyes set on Caneel Bay for a Honeymoon!

We all had a wonderful stay at this resort. Our daughter enjoyed the pool and activities while my husband and I lounged on the beachfront and gave snorkeling a try. A great all around resort. Friendly staff too and good food.

July 2009 - Poolside Room London, UK
A fantastic getaway! We had a good flight with a short stop in Miami then onto St.Thomas. From there we took a 30 transfer to Red Hook ferry then a lovely ride over to The Westin. The resort has its own bay and is full of amenities. We stayed for 10 nights and left only a couple of times to venture out for dinner. One dinner in particular was at Caneel Bay's restaurant which turned out to be wonderful. We may be interested in a stay at Caneel Bay next year. Our room was very basic, comfortable and clean. We had morning coffee on our balcony every morning and then had pastries at the small shops on site. The grounds are spacious and accommodating to every type of travel. We had a wonderful time and look forward to another visit to St.john where we will most certainly explore more of this beautiful island.
